Synopsis
Moving to NC after leaving her nursing profession was a leap of faith for Ally Malcom. She needed a new start, and she could live in her late grandmother's beach house. After settling in, she heard a newscast about skeletal remains that had been discovered nearby. Ally found herself on a path she never dreamed of: meeting a neighbor who would become a good friend, finding love through a chance encounter on a beach, and becoming part of a mystery from her past.
In 1991, Anna Strickland left an abusive relationship with her three children and sought help from a local shelter. What happened to them was a miracle, thanks to the kindness of strangers. Their lives also took different paths for different reasons. A kind nursing student came into their lives only to disappear without explanation.
This story is a tale of how four generations of families, who begin as strangers, find a reason to open their hearts in a quest to discover the truth of Katie Morgan's disappearance on that November day, so long ago.
