Vivian Williams was a champion fiddler, professional bluegrass musician, composer, recording artist, musical historian, fiddle teacher, and author of scholarly books and articles. In 33 interviews between 2017 and 2022, Vivian shared the stories of her life, her friendships, and her music. She provided rich details about the Northwest Folklife Festival and the many other beloved contributions she and her husband, Phil, made to our cultural life.
This two-volume series, Vivian Williams: A Musical Life (Standard Color Edition), presents Vivian's stories in historical context, sumptuously illustrated with photos primarily from Vivian and Phil’s vast collection. This is volume 2 of the series, printed in standard color.
Note: This book is also available in black and white in the series Vivian Williams: A Musical Life (Black & White Edition), and will soon be available in the deluxe edition, Vivian Williams: A Musical Life (Premium Color Edition).
