Synopsis

After retiring from a 35-year career in advertising, Tom Dryden discovered a new calling — documenting the hilarious, baffling, and sometimes maddening realities of aging, modern life, and residing in a state dubbed “God’s Waiting Room.”

Retired & Moved to Florida is a laugh-out-loud collection of stories about absurd diner conversations… the horrors of serving on an HOA board...battles with iguanas and the IRS…and obtaining a questionable medical marijuana prescription. Dryden writes about stupid TV commercials, the reason an ER nurse needed to confirm if his genitals were “original,” a white Ford Granada with a vinyl roof, and the best friends a retired guy can have — his dogs.

Served up with wit, wisdom, and a generous dollop of crankiness, this book is a must-read for fellow oldsters—or anyone who hopes to be one someday.
