Ryan is an avid consumer of stories across genres, platforms, and history and takes inspiration from experiences in world cultures. Ryan's favorite author is Michael Moorcock and he draws inspiration for the dark and strange from such works as Elric of Melniboné and The Chronicles of Corum. Ryan's take on classic fantasy focuses on mature, emotion-accurate characters and relationships, imaginative and innovative settings, and classic head-turning plot twists!
