Synopsis

The Book of Fate's Remorse is the second Book of Fate, a trilogy of dark fantasy novels. They are centered around those who seek power and the magical books, penned by Fate, that both help and hinder them in their quest. The Book of Fate's Remorse has a whole new cast and setting from the previous book so while connections will be made to the first, it could be read as a standalone. The book features an infamous mercenary, Vega of the Six Regrets with a haunted past trying to play the role of the hero and failing often. In his quest to quell a rebellion lead by a mysterious sorcerer known only as The Conqueror, he is forced to make unlikely allies and navigate the complex schemes of Gods. From the very beginning he has only one constant: a young boy discovered abandoned on the road who holds an ancient tome. In guiding the youth back to his homeland, Vega discovers the type of love missing from his life: the love of family. But family brings its own set of complications as spectres from his past arise in unexpected places. Is he a tool of Fate? A pawn of the Gods? Or maybe he has a sliver of his own will? All he knows is that if things continue this way, he will die alone on a snowy plain. The Book of Fate's Remorse is packed with magic, fantastical locations and creatures, and a memorable cast of characters that will keep you guessing at their true intentions until the very end! And the book that the boy carries? Well, you'll just have to find out.
