Vicki Riske has been interested in puppetry and storytelling for many years. She writes and illustrates children's books, designs and builds custom puppets. Vicki enjoys reading her books at local schools, libraries and bookstores. She uses puppets and crafts to create a memorable experience for her audience.

Sonia Elizabeth Soto, B.A., is a Bilingual Family Childcare Specialist with the Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) Program at United Way of Pinal County in Arizona. The FFN Program supports in-home childcare providers who care for children from birth to five, offering training, resources, and materials that help them create nurturing, engaging environments for young children.Sonia has known author and artist Vicki Riske for many years, and together they share a heartfelt passion for storytelling and for celebrating the power of stories told in two languages. Both understand how meaningful it is for children and families to see themselves and their languages reflected in the books they read.Their collaboration includes the dual-language book Dear Grandma and Grandpa / Queridos abuelos, which encourages children to write letters to their grandparents and loved ones, reminding readers of the joy that comes from connection and family. Sonia has also translated several of Vicki's books into Spanish, including La Abuela Bibi and Los pececitos aventureros, helping bring important messages about love, memory, and caring for our planet to more families.Through her work and writing, Sonia Elizabeth Soto continues to uplift families, educators, and young children, promoting connection, creativity, and the beauty of bilingual storytelling.
