A propos du livre

À propos de l'auteur

Gay was raised in a military family and lived in 13 different locations throughout the United States and Germany before the time she was 15 years old. At that time, her parents retired to Florida with Gay and two of her siblings in tow. She has lived in Florida ever since but loves to travel which is why many of her writings are set in a variety of locations. She visited Iceland twice and the Niagara Falls area numerous times before writing her second and third books.Gay worked as a public servant in a local court system for 35 years until she retired to pursue her passion for writing. She created the Raisina Grape character in 1974 when she was 12 years old. For that reason, she prefers to keep her Raisina stories set in an indeterminate time before the pervasive use of technology. When she is not writing, she can usually be found at a local pool, swimming laps, or walking in her neighborhood. She also volunteers her time in many different pursuits, including performing administrative tasks for a voting rights organization, distributing food at a local homeless shelter, serving on a board for a local legal services program, and working on special projects at her church.
