Ruby River has a lot of rules, and Oona Hendrix knows how to carve around obstacles. When love crashes in mid-wipeout, it’s a rush worth chasing.
Former professional skateboarder Oona Hendrix is back in her hometown after a career-ending leg injury forces a life pivot. Only, Oona can’t skate, or she’s not supposed to, thanks to the town enforcing an ordinance that bans skating—a rule that is suspiciously specific. Without skating, who even is she? She’s not about to follow the line and ride it out.
Celebrity son and minor celebrity in his own right, River Rosen has spent years helping his dad on film shoots and managing their local comic bookstore. Peaceful small-town life is easy, except for the constant rules from the handful of fun-suckers who don’t know how to relax. When Oona crashes back into town, he can’t help but notice that the woman he once fantasized about—the one whose posters covered his teenage walls—is now in town challenging the rules.
