Dr. Delio Figueroa, originally from Puerto Rico, earned his PhD in Ethnomusicology from the University of Florida in 2015. Dr. Figueroa's research explores the intricate relationships between music, society, and identity. Dr. Figueroa's work encompasses a broad spectrum of topics, from traditional folk music to contemporary urban soundscapes, highlighting the dynamic nature of musical expression.Currently, he works as a music teacher in Adams County School District, Colorado.
