Synopsis

Those who say leadership is easy, are probably doing it wrong.

Leadership isn’t a destination to arrive at; it is a journey filled with ups and downs, twists and turns where only the courageous thrive. The most memorable leaders recognize that their new role isn’t about them, but about creating a high-performing environment and bringing out the best in their team members.

After being tagged numerous times for leadership roles based on nothing more than a tireless work ethic and obsessive focus on being dependable, Shaina discovered early on that leadership isn’t just about technical excellence – it’s about something deeper.

In her mission to uncover the secrets of effective leadership, Shaina spent two decades studying what it means to lead people from a practical perspective. Now, she’s ready to share the 11 transformative habits that lay the groundwork for successful leadership.

This quick, easy-to-read book will take you on a journey where your path becomes clearer, the challenges more conquerable, and the rewards infinitely greater. Each page reveals a new insight, a modern perspective, and a chance to reflect on where you are and where you want to go.

Leading people is hard. It can be easier.
This book will help!

“This is everything they’d teach about management in a business master’s program consolidated into a fun book. The stories bring each topic to life and make it relatable – that’s a big differentiator from all of the dry management books out there.” Kylie Lannen Manager, Organizational Development

À propos de l'auteur

Shaina Lane is a professional speaker, author, leadership expert, and ice cream addict. She started her career in sports medicine and, after climbing the leadership ladder, made a pivot into Human Resources and leadership development.

She holds a master's degree in higher education and a SHRM-CP certification. Her commitment to lifelong learning is also evident in the number of coaching certifications she holds (too many!), including the gold standard International Coaching Federation Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential.

She is the founder and CEO of Premier Professional Coaching, a company she started with the modest hope of serving one or two clients. That plan worked out slightly differently. Today, she travels around the world speaking at conferences and private events, delivers workshops and retreats, and coaches executives and professionals through leadership growth and career transitions.

Shaina lives in Michigan but dreams of eventually embracing RV life and chasing sunshine through the winter months. When she isn't developing leaders, she's training for triathlons, taking comedy classes, or coming up with increasingly creative excuses to avoid yardwork.

She is also closely managed by her three furry, four-legged bosses, who remain unimpressed by her professional accomplishments.
