Synopsis

There are 17 illustrations in this book that show various unpredictable "mishaps" in the life of a young child.

This book seeks to teach children and adults how to process disappointments we experience by trying to find at least one positive outcome when things go wrong in life.

The ultimate message of this book is that you can't wait until life isn't hard for you to be happy.

The author’s suggested group assignment for classroom discussions or parent’/child interaction:

Review one or more of the illustrations in the book and discuss a potential positive spin or lessons that can be learned.

Here's some sample content from the book:

Expect life to include disasters;

These are times when we learn the best.

You can't go through life without them.

You'll be thankful for the test.

But how can I be happy

When things in life go wrong?

Times like these can weaken you,

But they can also make you strong.

So when life dishes out random mishaps,

The challenge is to think positive thoughts.

Like looking for at least one good thing

That doesn't leave you distraught.

We hope you enjoy reading this character-building book for children. It's a great way to get kids talking about their emotions and teach them to find positive solutions to any problem. You could even say it's an ideal life-skills book for children and adults.

The author has a full collection of books, which are all intended for children, but also as teaching books for parents and teachers to help with many life skills that children will benefit from knowing in the earlier years.
