Synopsis

In Double Dare II, A Shaman Appears, Raphael and Luke, and their chosen family, faced pandemic challenges that limited, but certainly didn't curtail, their romantic adventures. In Double Dare III, Hiroshi's Gift, even more challenges and heartbreak come their way. But fear not, dear reader. Despite those challenges, there is also the joy of another wedding within the family. New career opportunities. A mind-blowing proposal from a very unexpected quarter, and, of course, healthy doses of intimacy and sex within each loving couple that make up this remarkable twenty-first century family of gay men in San Francisco.

Spoiler Alert: If you haven't yet read Double Dare and Double Dare II, A Shaman Appears, you are advised against reading the following paragraph. Just so you know ...

In Double Dare III, Hiroshi's Gift, the members of the House of the LCB carry on, coping with the restrictions imposed by the continuing pandemic. Working and studying from home, having access only to their home gym and planning a wedding to include only immediate family. On the plus side, the House of the LCB remains clothing-free, several men remain locked in devotion to their men and birthdays are still celebrated in very unique ways. Yet another dare leads to a reprise of the performing Chastity Brothers in a surprising new venue. Hiroshi proves even more generous in his support and love for the Brotherhood. And there are tears, many tears, to be shed. This is a most unusual gay romance, but one that reflects real life more realistically than most. It is a worthy conclusion to the Double Dare trilogy.

A propos du livre

À propos de l'auteur

Michael Curless lives, works, writes, hikes and dines in San Francisco, the crazy, wonderful, diverse city he loves. Although he prefers Cabernet, Mourvèdre and buttery Chardonnays, like Raphael and Alex, when tempted, his favorite bubbly is Schramsberg. He prefers dining in to take-out, except, perhaps, when all of the 'family' is present.
