Synopsis

Joining a pirate crew is meant to fulfill Morrey's dreams of adventure on the sea. The excitement of his first pirate voyage soon fades as he realizes the intent, of his crew, is to visit various villages and take their belongings. A deep sadness comes over Morrey as he watches his mates take everything: gifts, food, dishware...even a pig. Amidst the chaos, Morey notices a light at the end of the hall. There, he discovers Kenzie, a young girl whose only wish for Christmas is to have a pet dog. She bathes him in suds, cares for him and shows him love.

After Kenzie falls asleep, and before sunrise, Morrey and his pirate mates return to the ship; leaving the town in sad shape. Read the story to find out how a big storm, Santa and the love in Morrey's heart save Christmas Day. This is a story of morals, lessons learned and friendship.

With this book, you will get page after page of full-color, picture book illustrations and a great story that teeters between picture books and YA chapter books in length. Great for any age.
