Sr. Mary Gianna Casino is a missionary with the Leaven of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Sisters. They have touched countless lives together through their teaching ministry, working with students from preschool through college across the United States and the Philippines.With degrees in Philosophy and Theology from Holy Apostles College & Seminary and postgraduate training in mental health from Harvard Medical School, Sister Gianna brings exceptional depth to her writing and educational work. She is currently furthering her commitment to mental wellness by pursuing Clinical Mental Health Counseling studies at Divine Mercy University.Her storytelling has captured national attention, with features on EWTN, ABC 12 News, and the New York Times. Her work also appeared in Augustine Institute's FORMED, Columbia Magazine, One Voice Magazine, and Seminary Journal. At the heart of Sister Gianna's mission is a passionate dedication to nurturing young souls through literature that speaks to both heart and mind. Drawing from her rich experience as an educator and deep devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, she creates stories that resonate with children while fostering spiritual growth and emotional well-being.When not writing or teaching, Sister Gianna can be found playing Uno with her fellow sisters or occasionally leading impromptu dance sessions in the convent halls - proving that joy and reverence can indeed go hand in hand. Sister Gianna continues to inspire the next generation with messages of faith, hope, and healing. Her unique combination of spiritual devotion, educational expertise, and mental health advocacy makes her a distinctive voice for today.

Eileen Spinner, a native Texan, is a Licensed Professional Counselor in St. Louis, Missouri. She studied Theology and Education at the University of Dallas and earned her Masters in Counseling from St. Louis University. Since 2006, Eileen has passionately worked in palliative and hospice care, helping people share their stories and leave legacy items for their loved ones. She is an advocate for resiliency in the workplace, encouraging individuals & leaders to invest in their mental health. She was the keynote speaker for the Missouri Mental Health Counselors Association in 2024, highlighting ways to put these passions into practice.When Eileen's not at the bedside of her hospice patients and families, you might catch her volunteering at her church or kids' schools, running, watching her kids' games/musical performances, traveling with her family, or rooting for the Texas Rangers and St. Louis Cardinals.
