Pamella A. (Ryan) Russell was born in Buffalo, NY, but relocated to Brazil in her early teens, where she resided until she was a young adult. While living in Brazil, she graduated from a Catholic high school and later worked as a bilingual secretary. She is a graduate of Rutgers University with a major in Spanish and followed her BA with a Master of Library Service (MLS) degree. She is also a graduate of the Institute of Children's Literature. Ms. Russell is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). She is a retired library director and lives with her husband in Cape May, NJ. This is her third publication. She hopes that children will discover a new element of interest in her book, but mostly that they will "read, read, and read!"

Hardcover. Etat : new. Rosales, Albert R (illustrateur). Hardcover. The Catch of the Day was inspired by a 1995 newspaper article about a man who lost his dentures overboard while on a fishing trip in the Netherlands. In 1998, I submitted my story to Oceana Magazine's eighth annual short story contest, The Write Stuff, and received honorable mention. It was later published in Pen In Hand, The Biannual Literary Journal of the Maryland Writers' Association, January 2021, edited by Dr. Tapendu K. Basu. The story is about a boy who goes striper (or rockfish or striped bass) fishing with his father and grandfather. The grandfather coughs up his dentures overboard, where a striper swallows them. The young boy reels in the very striper that swallowed the dentures, which the father finds when gutting the prize-winning fish. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability. N° de réf. du vendeur 9798993069555
