Mike Bertram, an award-winning poet and author of Said the Paper to the Pen, affectionately known as "Mr. B" by his students, is a dedicated educator with over 30 years of experience. He currently teaches 3rd grade in South Plainfield, NJ, where he creates a learning environment in which every student feels seen, heard, and valued. His classroom, known as The B-Hive, buzzes with creativity, empathy, and discovery, celebrating the magic of learning and encouraging children to embrace their uniqueness, build confidence, and find their voices.
Rosa Cuna is a nine-year-old student from South Plainfield, NJ. She has a big heart and a love for words. During her 3rd grade year, she spent time writing poems to spread happiness and kindness to everyone around her. She is a 2024-2025 winner of the Junior Journalist Award, which recognizes excellent writers throughout the community. Her favorite color is Black, she can't get enough sushi, and she absolutely LOVES her amazing teachers, Mr. B and Miss A. Rosa dreams of becoming a famous poet one day, and this book is just the beginning of her exciting journey!
