5 STARS from READERS FAVORITES. Asher Syed said "ABRA*CA*DABRA, written by Terry Bean and illustrated by Ronda and Adee, has become a favorite in our home for both reading and conversation. The story is excellently written at a level that even my youngest reader could manage, yet the message proved helpful for me as a parent as well. The guidance offered is practical and usable, such as encouraging a child to pause before a decision and ask which option will lead to a calmer or more settled feeling afterward, a technique my daughter now uses when deciding whether to finish homework before moving on to play. The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous and were the reason my daughter chose the book for nighttime reading in the first place. A jewel-toned palette leans into a stunning purple overlay, giving each scene visual appeal. Dani is lifelike, and the art throughout is first-rate, making this book a wonderful addition to the bedtime rotation.#.

Let's share some tools so our children grow to be kinder, more connected adults to themselves and others around them.

My journey as an illustrator began in childhood, when drawing felt like a gateway to imagination- a way to create entire worlds using nothing but a pen and a pencil. That sense of wonder andfreedom is what led me into illustration, and eventually into children's books, whereimagination has the power to shape young minds. For me, illustration has never been just about making something visually appealing. The books Iwork on are often rooted in helping children- whether by supporting their emotional well-being-being, teaching meaningful lessons, or simply bringing comfort and joy. Knowing that somethingI helped create might possibly affect a child's life, even in the smallest way, is deeply fulfillingand continues to drive my work every day.I have been professionally illustrating for over six years. While I began as a hands-on illustrator, my role has evolved into Art Direction, where I now lead creative teams at KidsBookArt LLC. I nolonger illustrate full storybooks on my own; instead, I focus on building strong visualfoundations for each project. This includes storyboarding, defining artistic direction, andassigning tasks based on individual team members' strengths. As an Art Director, I work closely with clients- conducting meetings, understanding theirvision, values, and the purpose behind each book. I help explore creative possibilities, alignvisuals with storytelling goals, and ensure the final artwork reflectsboth emotional depth andclarity for young readers. My role is not just to guide the art, but to support the people creatingit, fostering collaboration and thoughtful execution throughout the process. At the heart of everything I do is the same feeling I had as a child with a pencil in my hand-the belief that art can create worlds, spark imagination, and make a real difference in someone'slife.
