Kathy Kale Nelson is an engineer, author, and STEM advocate with decades of experience working in technical fields where women remain underrepresented. Through her books and podcast, Ordinarily Extraordinary: Conversations with Women in STEM, she works to make STEM careers feel visible, real, and attainable for children-especially girls. She lives in Minnesota with her family.

Emily Nelson is a self-taught artist and outdoor enthusiast. She loves drawing, painting, and pottery, and spends her free time skiing, hiking, and waterskiing. Emily has a degree in Environmental Studies and splits her time between ski patrol in the winter and working in a greenhouse in the summer. Emily resides in Big Sky, Montana.
