Synopsis

This book is a collection of short articles, posts, and speeches. The book is multi-purposed, meaning it has multiple intended audiences. My hope is that, taken together, these multiple audiences include everyone. So, the book is for everyone, but for different reasons.

The overall message is one of bringing us together to create an economy that works for everyone, and a nation that works for everyone. While it certainly is an expression of my own opinion, it is fact-based opinion, built on years of study. Among the intended audiences are those who would consider themselves on “the other side” politically. I prefer to think of us as all on the same side. I refer to myself as a Progressive Democrat. My hope is that those who are not Progressive Democrats will learn, from me, what I mean when I use the term. I hope to convince readers that it is a moderate approach and not at all extreme. Incorporating the needs of all are at the core of the philosophy.

Other intended audiences include those who are just fed up with politics in general, and those who consider themselves independents and don’t know whom to support. Lastly, I want folks who are already Progressive Democrats to read the book, and particularly Democratic candidates because I believe it has some potentially useful information for you.

So, let me say it again, the book is for everyone: Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians, Independents, Liberals, Conservatives, and the disenchanted. Let’s begin to understand each other.
