Synopsis

For centuries, wolves have captured the imagination and intrigue of many a storyteller. They have been cast as tricksters and wise guides, as protectors and monsters, and they have represented both the singular (the lone wolf) and the collective (the pack). These majestic creatures continue to spark creativity to this day. We here at the Westmoreland Writers Wolf Pack sent out a call for flash fiction and poetry honoring our namesake. This collection is the answer to that call.

The Westmoreland Writers Wolf Pack is a literary group for local writers, dedicated to providing unwavering support, insightful guidance, and acceptance for authors working in all genres and mediums. We foster a collaborative environment where creativity thrives, and every voice is valued.Through our monthly meetings, we strive to encourage and empower writers to hone their craft, share their stories and writing experiences, and grow alongside a supportive pack of storytellers. Through our community activities and involvement, we aim to promote the literary efforts of other groups and businesses as well as support our local libraries.

K.S. Welsh is a member, and the Social Media Manager of W.W.W.P. She is currently working on an unreleased romance series under a pen name. She has always found poetry to be a therapeutic outlet for her emotions. She wrote "The Wolf Moon" in memory of her mother, who unfortunately passed in July.

Wendy Miller-Norris is a scholar, and prolific storyteller who has ghostwritten over 25 full-length novels and is a published author of fiction and flash fiction. Her deep-rooted understanding of narrative structure is further refined by her work as a college professor in the English Department and various Humanities. Additionally, Wendy designs and teaches specialized masterclasses on the elements of craft in fiction writing and offers freelance editing services.
