Synopsis

You’re not losing control by accident—you’re losing it because you were never taught the rules of the game.

You walk away from conversations drained, replaying every word, wondering how things turned against you again. You try to stay calm, to be rational—but somehow, you’re always reacting, always explaining, always one step behind.

This book is NOT just another interpretation of Sun Tzu—and it’s not another shallow guide to “toxic people.”
The Art of War: Two Traditions by Shuai-jan Change gives you something rare: the original strategic doctrine and its modern application to psychological combat—side by side. You don’t just learn what to do—you understand why it works.

Imagine…
Seeing manipulation before it happens. Remaining calm under pressure. Moving through conflict with clarity, control, and quiet confidence—while others lose themselves in chaos.

Inside the book, you will discover:

  • How to think like a strategist when your emotions are being pulled apart
  • The unseen patterns manipulators rely on—and how to quietly dismantle them
  • Why you lose control before you even realize the game has begun
  • How to become untouchable in conversations meant to trap you
  • The silent discipline that keeps your mind steady under pressure
  • How to use ancient strategy to navigate modern psychological warfare
  • Why the ultimate victory is walking away with your mind still your own

This is not passive reading—it’s like studying a master and then learning to apply it in real life.

Think you’ve read The Art of War before? You’ve never used it like this.

While others stay trapped in the same patterns, a small few will quietly take control of their mind and their life.

À propos des auteurs

Shuai-jan Change is an author whose work explores psychological strategy, self-mastery, recovery, and the disciplined management of thoughts, emotions, and actions. His perspective is shaped not only by the study of behavioral science, but by lived experience overcoming addiction, destructive patterns of thinking, and the consequences that followed. Drawing from both experience and education, Change combines ancient wisdom with modern psychological principles to help readers better understand themselves, respond more effectively to adversity, and build healthier ways of living. His work emphasizes personal responsibility, resilience, critical thinking, and the belief that lasting change begins within the mind.

Sun Tzu was an ancient Chinese military strategist, philosopher, and writer traditionally credited as the author of The Art of War. Believed to have lived during China's Eastern Zhou period, he is traditionally associated with the State of Qi and later with the State of Wu. Although many details of his life remain uncertain, the strategic principles attributed to him have endured for more than two thousand years. His teachings emphasize preparation, adaptability, intelligence, self-command, and achieving objectives with the least unnecessary conflict. *The Art of War* remains one of the world's most influential works on strategy, with principles that continue to be studied in military leadership, business, politics, negotiation, and personal development.

Lionel Giles (1875-1958) was a British sinologist, translator, writer, and scholar of Chinese literature. Educated at Wadham College, Oxford, he spent much of his career at the British Museum, where he served as Assistant Keeper and later Keeper of the Department of Oriental Manuscripts and Printed Books. Giles is best known for his influential 1910 English translation of Sun Tzu's The Art of War, which combined careful translation with extensive notes and commentary drawn from the Chinese tradition. His scholarly work also included translations and studies of other major Chinese philosophical texts, as well as research and cataloguing devoted to Chinese manuscripts and literature. His translation of The Art of War remains one of the most widely recognized English versions of Sun Tzu's ancient treatise.
