Synopsis
Three fictional short stories based on the folklore and history of the Appalachian Mountains. One, the Stone of Peace. A mysterious stone is found that provides protection for the land and its people who respect and honor it. Those who try to take its precious resources with greed and a lack of discipline find that the land can seek its revenge. Two, Lady of the Mountain. A long-time and wise elderly woman dispenses her knowledge and warnings to those who will listen. But there are those who don’t, and they must face the consequences of the mountain. Three, The Scroll. A scroll found deep in a coal mine brings prosperity and good fortune to its holder. But keep it too long without passing it on to someone else in need, and the abundance and luck can quickly vanish.
