M. Anne Sweet is a poet and artist who has performed and exhibited throughout the Pacific Northwest. As a poet, she has performed individually, as well as with The Seattle Five Plus One, Project Z, and the Daughters of Dementia. Literary credits include a previous book-length poetry collection, Nailed to the Sky (Gazoobi Tales), as well as three graphic poems in the genre of graphic novels. She is a past winner of the Bart Baxter Poetry in Performance Competition, as well as having numerous works in print and online. She maintains a working studio in the Georgetown area of Seattle, Washington, where her visual art pieces frequently combine her art and poetry. She is the recipient of several visual art and purchase awards. She is currently learning to play upright acoustic bass and electric bass.
