Regina Brodell Portscheller is an experienced speaker and workshop leader on the topic of workplace violence. She helps people to recognize that anyone—anywhere or anytime—can become a victim of violence in any workplace, large or small. In fact, her own son, Ryan, was an innocent victim of workplace violence twice.
This story is not only a deeply personal memoir of her family’s trauma caused by workplace violence; it also serves as a resource for information about workplace violence prevention and mitigation. Regina maintains that changes in employers’ and employees’ awareness and procedures can create much safer places to go to work or do business.
Regina and her husband Ray have been members of Parents of Murdered Children (POMC) since their son’s death in 2021. They have two accomplished living sons, Ross and Reid, who miss their brother dearly. Regina is also a prolific mixed media artist whose work has been featured in art shows, galleries, and publications. She enjoys sharing her love of art with students of all ages by teaching group mixed media workshops. Regina lives in Mesa, Arizona with Ray and their lovely little chihuahua, Mocha.
