Katrina is a wife and mother of four. "Dancing with Kayden" is her debut book, inspired by her lived experience with her son, Kayden, who was diagnosed with 7q11.23 Duplication Syndrome. In 2017, she lost her son to a sudden cardiac arrest. Writing became a way for her to process her emotions and grief. She hopes to raise awareness of the syndrome and celebrate the many ways children can shine their light. She enjoys spending time with her husband and kids, visiting zoos, parks, and Main Event to name a few.

Kim Soderberg is an award-winning illustrator, known for her use of whimsical details, endearing characters, and distinct expressions. She is also a wife, and a grateful mother to three children. Sparked by her own family adventures, she brings warmth, humor, and heart to every page she creates. She loves drawing children, animals, nature, and working on projects that portray kindness.As an autism mom, she's especially passionate about supporting her son through sensory experiences. She finds joy in illustrating stories that honor neurodiversity, foster empathy, and highlight the magic of seeing the world a little differently.
