Synopsis
"Dancing with Kayden" is a heart-felt and inspiring children's story about a young boy born with a rare congenital disorder, 7q11.23, that causes him to have a speech delay and a weak heart . Although Kayden doesn't talk much, he communicates beautifully through rhythm and dance. With the love and support of his family and music therapy teacher, Miss Farr, he discovers confidence and joy as he prepares for his music therapy group's first talent show , where the students showcase what they've learned.
Though he faces challenges along the way, he never gives up. On the day of the performance, he puts on an amazing performance, earning a standing ovation from everyone in attendance.Through his journey , readers learn that sometimes you don't need many words- just the rhythm and beat.
