Synopsis

She vows she'll never marry. Then she falls for her best friend's brother-whom she could have sworn she hated.

Marie Wilder and Eddie Ashby have antagonized each other since they were children, though as adults, Marie will admit that Eddie's as handsome as he is proud, stubborn, and rude. Even when he lets the façade slip-revealing him to be a kind, fiercely loyal brother to her lifelong best friend, Fred-Marie feels certain she'll have no trouble keeping the promise she made to the aunt who raised her: that she will never marry.

When Fred strikes up a relationship with another young gentleman, Marie and Eddie do everything they can to distract the prying eyes of the ton and keep their trio together. But as the machinations of Regency society and the threat of scandal bring her ever closer to the charming if disagreeable Eddie, Marie must decide whether to stay true to her aunt's wishes or risk losing everything to follow her heart.

À propos de l'auteur

Amanda Lindsey Neil is a queer author of paranormal and historical romance, an average ukulele player, and all-around ridiculous human. She recently relocated to the Pacific Northwest with her wife, though their cats are still in Texas. When she's not writing, Amanda is usually dealing with the full-time job of being disabled by chronic migraines. She has a degree in Theater Arts with almost enough credits for a minor in English Literature and, prior to becoming disabled, spent a number of years as a semi-professional fusion belly dancer. On good days, Amanda can still be found dancing in the kitchen as she indulges in her passion for baking.
