Synopsis

Seventeen-year-old Geeta Xander and her family are about to enter an HN chamber in the interior of Solaria to sleep in horizontally suspended pods for six months. The year is 2090, and human hibernation is proclaimed as the solution to Earth's limited resources. But when the truth begins to reveal itself, two teens, a young boy, a small dog, two grandmothers, and a network of crows must somehow triumph over evil and the most powerful people on the planet to save humanity and achieve the goals of The Second Enlightenment in The Age of Connection.

A propos du livre

À propos des auteurs

Jolene Whitten writes novels celebrating the power of the human connection. After a career as a federal probation and pretrial services officer, she published her first book at the age of sixty-proving it's never too late to "live the life you've imagined." Due to her father's military career, Jolene grew up in many places across the United States, as well as in France and England. She has spent most of her adult life in Texas, where she now lives with her husband, Randy. They are very lucky that their two grandsons (and their parents) live nearby. In addition to writing, Jolene enjoys reading, walking, the outdoors, supporting democracy, and listening to music, particularly her favorite, Bruce Springsteen. As a person always fascinated by ideas, she has enjoyed working with her sister to create a future world in which the Age of Connection exists. Her hope is that her grandsons may one day experience The Second Enlightenment as described in TaJo's Tales. Tanya is a former ESL teacher who has worked with teens for many years, so diving into YA writing seemed like the most natural thing to do. She believes that new worlds, relationships, science, and family are subjects in need of a youthful and fiery presence. Creating confident and strong characters who battle to keep the world safe is paramount to the core of her writing. Having lived abroad, experiencing diverse cultures and decidedly cool places, Tanya has a unique ability to view the world through a different lens. Her hope for the future is that young adults find adventure and hope in saving our home planet while finding peace and friendship. In her free time, Tanya enjoys watching movies, especially sci-fi and comedies, traveling, and keeping up with the latest pop culture trends. Beaches with beautiful sunsets are her go-to place, and spending time with her daughters and her beloved poodle Sam is her favorite pastime.
