Synopsis
THE SKY WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE TORN
When a gravity pulse from a dying star rips open the sky, two Idaho homesteading families are thrown into 1575 Japan, the Sengoku period, the most violent age in its history. They brought rifles, radios, and the hard competence of people who chose to live far from help. But none of it prepared them for what followed them through the tear.
Stan Maddox came home from his own wars, keeping an exact count of his dead and a promise never to look through a scope again. His wife, Yumi, an astrophysicist, may be the only one alive who understands what the star did, and the only one a long-dead master has chosen to teach the truth.
