Synopsis

In the Garden of Adam and Steve

This irreverent comedy inspired by Paradise Lost asks a few delicious questions: What if Adam and Eve didn't actually like each other? What if free will actually worked? What happens when the characters decide to follow their own path?

It all begins with a bet. Lucifer, bored out of his skull, wagers God that free will is a cosmic joke and that anyone, given a real choice, will sabotage their own life within a week. God, in a moment of weakness, takes the wager. The script is drafted. Adam is paired with Eve. The serpent slithers into the spotlight. The apple gets its close-up. And chaos immediately ensues.

Then Adam does the one thing the script never planned: he asks God for a friend, not a wife. God creates Steve. Beyond the garden wall, Eve encounters someone who was never meant to exist at all. And weaving through the chaos are Sin and Death-Lucifer's teenage kids, and, by their own account, the founders of heavy metal music-touring paradise.

Funny, heartfelt, and unapologetically queer, In the Garden of Adam and Steve is a romantic comedy about loving all people, regardless of sexual orientation or origin-and proof that the best stories are the ones we choose for ourselves.
