Synopsis

Drawing on original doctoral research and in-depth interviews with nine minority pastors nationwide, Beyond the Oasis identifies the four leadership qualities - biblical conviction, cultural competence, conflict resolution, and emotional intelligence - that minority pastors need to lead suburban, ethnically homogeneous congregations toward genuine multiethnic ministry. Honest, research-grounded, and immediately usable by pastors and church leadership teams.
