Born in London and raised across five countries-from Minnesota's snowy landscapes to Philippine fishing villages-his nomadic childhood shaped his keen eye for how communities hold their secrets and traditions.After working in the UK, Netherlands, and Sweden, Julien settled in Austin, Texas in 2015, drawn by its vibrant literary scene. His international background infuses his atmospheric novels with authentic cultural details and explores how individuals navigate tradition while forging their own paths.When not writing, he travels with his wife of 40 years and sketches urban scenes.
