Nancy O. Garrett was born and raised in Mt. Pleasant, SC where she still resides with her husband Steve.

Marrieta Gal has been an art enthusiast from an early age. She has over twenty years of professional experience in illustrating and designing children's books and magazines. She earned a bachelor's degree in book design and an MA in illustration at the Faculty of Applied Arts i her hometown, Belgrade, Serbia, where she resides.
