Hi. I'm Joni.I've always loved words, stories, books, reading and writing. As is sometimes the way in life, my journey to writing was not a direct route. I've kept up with writing here and there over the years but finally decided to make those childhood dreams a reality. I have recently published the first in a growing series of children's books, and have plans for other ages and genres. I have also started Pretium Publishing, LLC, to help other aspiring authors and illustrators get their work out to the world.I believe that words carry weight, lives hold meaning, and sharing a story matters. Reading opens your mind to other worlds and ideas, you learn reasoning, and build imagination. Reading is crucial to personal growth. I want to be a part of the material that makes people learn, feel, and think. When I'm not writing, helping others publish, or working my day job as a data analyst, you will find me spending time with my kids or curled up with a good book. I do touch grass but try to do that only when it isn't summertime in the South!

Clare is an artist and freelance illustrator who is inspired by her children, pets, and nature. She loves experimenting with different mediums and bringing everyday magic to life. If she's not drawing, you can find her outside exploring nature with her family or enjoying a good book or cozy game.
