Synopsis

In a world that often moves too quickly, The Resting Place: Thoughts Along the Way invites readers to pause, reflect, and rediscover the quiet truths that give life meaning.

Mayer offers a collection of essays and poetry that speaks to the universal experiences of faith, forgiveness, grief, gratitude, compassion, hope, and the enduring search for peace within the human heart.

Rather than offering simple answers, these reflections encourage readers to embrace life's joys and sorrows with honesty, humility, and grace. Whether confronting seasons of uncertainty, celebrating moments of unexpected joy, or seeking renewed purpose, readers will find thoughtful companionship in these pages.

Written over many years and now thoughtfully revised and updated, The Resting Place is not intended to be read quickly. It is a book to return to again and again—one essay, one poem, one quiet moment at a time.

For anyone searching for encouragement, deeper perspective, or simply a place to rest amid life's demands, this collection offers timeless wisdom and gentle hope for the journey ahead.
