Synopsis

But the weekend begins innocently, with Zane’s 21st birthday road trip to a secluded mountain cabin with his sister Sierra and a few friends. On the way out of town, they meet Fay and Veronica, two young women unafraid to join five strangers for a trek into the unknown.

After discovering Bigfoot, the Ozarks become a primeval habitat where Homo sapiens loses its apex predator status. Yet the friends maintain a sizable advantage in wits, and the holiday turns into a vicious (and often hilarious) clash of civilizations.

An allegory of tribalism, the story examines a modern world where humans are increasingly unable — or perhaps unwilling — to escape our natural ancestral roots.
