Taschenbuch. Etat : Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - A unique, practical and inspiring guide to creative storytelling and the process of writing, with a focus on screenwriting. The book is organized into over 100 short, useful essays on specific topics -- like thinking in scenes, creating character arcs or finding your work rituals -- so that a writer who's learning, stuck or lost can go directly to the question or challenge they are facing.Glenn Gers, draws upon 25 years experience as a screenwriter for Hollywood studios, TV networks and indie films (along with a dozen years before that, struggling to break in as a professional) to create a book full of skills, tools and insights.Unlike most screenwriting books, 'Writing For Screens' emphasizes the creative art, and the artist, over the business -- not only because creative mastery is required for that job, but because new technology is creating new possibilities and even new art forms. This book is designed to encourage each artist to make their own path in a changing world: to do what you can, with what you have, as who you are -- right now.Based on a series of YouTube video classes with over a half-million views, 'Writing For Screens' is honest, original, encouraging and useful.
