Roy, a small bug with mischievous behavior, lands both himself and Orange, his dinosaur friend, into a heap of trouble during their trip to the store.
This tale reminds Roy and Orange, as well as K-3 readers, about the consequence of their choices.
About the Author
Barbara Cara Castro, LCSW has served as a social worker for over twenty years. She lives in Little Neck, New York, with her husband and two children. When she is not searching her home for hidden toys and crayons, she enjoys creating mosaic art. Barbara's favorite meal is homemade tomato sauce with spaghetti.
About the Illustrator
Nataliia Tymoshenko lives in Kyiv, Ukraine. She has worked in the field of marketing and advertising for more than 10 years. After becoming a mother to two beautiful children and successfully beating cancer, Nataliia found her true passion as an illustrator. She has learned through her life experiences what is truly meaningful, and she aims to share this vision with the rest of the world through her illustrations.

Barbara Cara Castro is a social worker by profession and the Founder of Miracles Made Publishing. She is a native New Yorker living in Little Neck, Queens, with her two children and husband. The Adventures of Roy and Orange: Learning to Listen is her first book. The tale began as a bedtime story for her children to keep them engaged and listening. After telling them the story, her son continued to ask about repeatedly about Roy and Orange, so she decided to write it down and pursue publishing. She hopes the book will entertain children and parents, alike, as Roy gets himself into heaps of trouble while grocery shopping. Orange, his dinosaur friend goes along to shop and learns the importance of following the rules and speaking up for himself. Through whimsical illustrations, we see how the two manage to solve this dilemma, accompanied by Eric the elephant and Orange's mom. Ms. Castro plans to write more books in the series.
About the Illustrator: Nataliia Tymoshenko lives in Kyiv, Ukraine. She has worked in the field of marketing and advertising for more than 10 years.
