Stated Second Edition (on the title ) with the date of 1893, one year after the first edition was published. Sm 4to, 317 pp. Black and white illustrations throughout. Gilt edges, light blue cloth with gilt title and author's name on the front board. Black outlined "The Strand Library" vignette on the front board. Very good or better with some rubbing to the spine lettering and a small scratch, but still fairly bright and readable. Interior clean, no foxing and no ownership markings. Hinges firm, tight ands square. A very nice copy of a scarce book, especially in this condition. N° de réf. du vendeur 001675
