THE ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER BY MARK TWAIN ILLUSTRATED BY WORTH BREHM 1917. I have always liked these illustrated children s books and have listed and sold many of them over the years. Here s one that surprised me because the 15 illustrations embedded in the text are black-and-white with the frontispiece in color. Please find: The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain with illustrations by Worth Brehm. This medium-sized hard cover book (6 ¼ x 9 ¼ inches 292 pages) was published by Harper & Brothers dated 1917, a reprint edition. The book is bound in black boards with a paste-down color plate on the cover and gilt titles on the spine. The color frontispiece and all 15 b&w plates are present and accounted for; I know as I checked. Condition: This book is in very good condition. There is some minor bumping to the corners and spine tips. The gilt titles on the spine ar slightly faded but still legible. Inside the book is unmarked although both endpapers have a shadow of toning probably from the acid of the binding glues. The interior pages are clean and bright throughout. Both hinges are intact, and the binding is tight and sound. This book is not ex-library or a remainder. N° de réf. du vendeur 2621
