In good condition. Spine is nicely rebacked. Original boards are scuffed with edge wear. Bumped corners. Toned edges on end papers. Pages are lightly toned with light foxing. Unmarked. Binding tight and intact. An agreeable copy with minor aesthetic flaws. No ads in rear. Please see photos. Lucy Peacock was a British author, editor, translator, bookseller and publisher of children s books during the late eighteenth century. She wrote anonymously for children and young adults. This is and English translation and adaption of Francois Ducray Duminil s work. It was originally published in 1796 and went through several UK and US editions. This is the third edition.
