This is a readable, innovative textbook, of mathematical methods for undergraduate engineering and science students. The text is designed for a one-year course and is centered around the topics which form the essentials of engineering mathematics: ordinary differential equations, vector calculus, linear algebra, and partial differential equations. Ordinary differential equations are developed in a setting found suitable for scientists, and engineers. Linear algebra, in particular, is a strong point of the book.
