A propos de cet article

The enlarged third edition of this charming work on freshwater fishing, originally published in 1681 and illustrated with an attractive engraving of twelve fish species. Third edition, enlarged; 1 double-page engraved plate, integral advertisements on the final leaf of the text, 20th century bookplate of Robert Mobrawy, light spotting and toning of the contents and a little offsetting from the plates, contents trimmed a little close to the top edge of the text; late 19th-century green half morocco, spine gilt in compartments with flower tools, marbled endpapers, red speckled edges, binding slightly rubbed, an excellent copy; 326 pp plus 10-page index. Provenance: Robert Mowbray (bookplate).
