This is an excellent and hard to obtain copy of Tome VII, Maps Vol 1 of 'La Grande Guerre' published by the French Ministry of War and bound here for the Staff College Library in Camberley in the 1920s and 1930s. The saga runs to several "tomes", volumes and set of maps and documents the First World War from the French perspective in immaculate detail. If you need exact specifics on what each copy contains, please enquire and I can look into specifics for each volume for you.It is a previously owned military library book set and has seen little in the way of usage over the past 100 years and being board-backed, has survived extremely well. The pages are clearly printed with little in the way of age wear and foxing, and the maps are all linen printed (for the earlier volumes, paper for later editions) and folded in almost mint condition.It is very difficult to find even single books for this publication, let alone complete sets. This tome is entitled "1918 Offensive & The Rhine March"This is a great set for our collection and we are lucky to have this in our midst. It would be great for the war memorabilia connoisseur, or for those who appreciate battle maps.
