(1880), 12mo, 312pp. Light wear, else VG. Noble Butler, (1810-1882), was was born in Pennsylvania; the family moved to Indiana when he was seven years old. He taught at Hanover College, until 1839 when he moved to to take a teaching position at the University of Louisville. He was the author of several text books on grammar and literature, that were used extensively across the country. He is buried in Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville.
