The Car Behind You is an Audi An unexpected meeting with a petty criminal sees a former criminal lawyer pursued after thirty years when he had successfully defended Rod. Now in trouble again, Rod is looking for a successful outcome to his further misdemeanours. When he hears the charges against Rod, he agrees to get back in the circuit and assist him to defend his name, and with the local registrar on his side he couldn't lose. Downhill All the Way Jack was new to the West Country, coming from a rather posh firm in the home counties, but within months he was settled in a company as their new lawyer, with the brief ‘to cover all the litigation in the firm'. That meant going into the magistrates' court to defend clients, to the county court for civil hearings and in particular divorce, as well as tackling claims for damages usually following accidents. So he was to be Jack of all trades. Jack soon learnt the ropes and who the local troublemakers were and was seen as very successful in defending their cases.
