A propos de cet article

Bound in sturdy red cloth with with delightful gilded animals and floral designs on the frlont boards and on the spine. Top edges gilt. The binding is shaken and somewhat worn with chipping and wear to the top and bottom of the spine ends and at the corners. Name and date, Christmas, 1917 on the second free front endpaper. Lovely silhouette animal endpapers. While all the plates are present and in good condition, the hinges have been reglued and there is considerable wear along the spine ends and at the gutters where it hs been reglued as well. This copy is something of a wounded bird with the lovely Charles Robinson plates. Charles Robinson(18701937) was a prolific British bookillustrator.
