Ottó Titusz Bláthy (1860-1939) was a Hungarian electrical engineer, the co-inventor of the alternating current "ZBD" transformer in 1885 (ZBD comes from the initials of the inventor's names: Károly Zipernowsky, Otto Bláthy and Miksa Déri), the coiner of the word "transformer".
