Anita Medhekar is a senior lecturer in economics and holds a PhD from Deakin University, Australia. She has completed her double master’s in pure Economics from Pune University and University of New England, Australia, including Bachelors and Masters in Education. She has taught at undergraduate and post graduate levels in India, Indonesia, and Australia and has more than 30 years of teaching and research experience. Currently, she is teaching at Central Queensland University, Australia. She has reviewed numerous Scopus Indexed book chapters and Q1 journal articles. Her research interests are in applied International Trade, Tourism Economics, Health Economics, Domestic and International Medical Travel, Medical Ethics and Regulation, Digital/e-Health/Telecare, Blue Economy and Inclusive Growth Developing Countries, Gender and Economic Development, Asia-Pacific Economies, Food Safety and Security in Developing Countries. Public Finance, South-Asian Economies, Australian Economy, Bilateral and Multilateral Trade agreements for Peace and Resilient Supply Chains, Public Policy, and Public-Private Partnerships. She has presented papers at numerous international conferences and received best research paper awards. Anita has numerous refereed publications in journals, conference proceedings, with edited books, and book chapters to her credit.
Mallika Roy is a PhD scholar at Central Queensland University and an Associate Professor (on study leave) in the Department of Economics, University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. She holds Honours and Masters’ degrees in Economics from the University of Chittagong and an M. Phil in Economics from the City University of Hong Kong, supported by a Hong Kong government scholarship. She received the prestigious Prime Minister Gold Medal Award in Bangladesh for academic excellence and several scholarships for her PhD, including the CQUniversity-funded Elevate Scholarship, International Excellence Award and Top up scholarship. With over 14 years of teaching experience, she has held academic positions at Islamia University College, BGC Trust University, and as an adjunct faculty at several institutions including BGC Trust University, Premier University, BUP. In 2025, she completed an industry placement with Isaac Regional Council, Australia, focusing on employee retention. Her research interests are in applied International Trade, Tourism Economics, Health Economics, Circular Economy & Food Waste, labour Economics, Agriculture Economics, Digital/e-Health/Telecare, Blue Economy and Inclusive Growth Developing Countries, Gender and Economic Development, Asia-Pacific Economies, Food Safety and Security in Developing Countries. Public Finance, South-Asian Economies, Australian Economy, Bilateral and Multilateral Trade agreements for Peace and Resilient Supply Chains, Public Policy, and Public-Private Partnerships.She has reviewed numerous Scopus Indexed book chapters and Q1 journal articles.
