Dr. John C. Webb served as a professor of music and university administrator for thirty-one years. He taught saxophone and jazz studies at universities in California, Nebraska, Colorado, Wisconsin, and Texas. Dr. Webb's passion for research about happiness began early in his career when he realized that in an environment filled with brilliant minds and talented people, there was an astonishing amount of unhappiness. In his book Well I'll be a Blue-Nosed Gopher...Practicing Happiness Now!, Dr. Webb creates a practice makes perfect approach designed to help others discover their own way to improve their well-being. When his wife, Toni, sustained a traumatic brain injury in a serious accident, Dr. Webb retired early to care for her.
