A propos de cet article

A scholarly examination of body image as an everyday social and cultural concern rather than solely as an individual psychological phenomenon. Díaz explores how identity, interpersonal relationships, cultural expectations, gender, beauty, weight, physical attractiveness, family relationships, and caregiving shape people's experiences and understandings of their bodies. Based on qualitative analysis of biographical accounts, the book will be of particular interest to researchers and advanced students in gender studies, sociology, social and clinical psychology, body image, and qualitative research. The book is volume 61 in the Routledge Research in Gender and Society series. Condition: Very Good. Unused, apparently unread copy acquired from a bookseller, as specializing in publisher and distributor overstock. Sold to me as “New.” Clean interior with no writing, highlighting, ownership marks, or other signs of use. Hardcover boards show light shelf/storage rubbing and several bumped corners, most noticeably at the lower corners, consistent with warehouse storage and handling. Binding is tight. Conservatively graded Very Good because of the exterior storage wear. Photos are of the actual copy offered for sale.…
