This textbook has been written to meet the current AS/A Level specifications for first teaching in 2000. Divided into 96 topic-based units, it provides full coverage of AQA, OCR and Edexcel A Levels. There are over 250 real-world case studies, and student tasks at the end of each chapter. Written by a team of Business Studies Examiners and teachers, the book clearly differentiates between AS and A2 material, and its unit structure allows maximum flexibility for teaching.
Revue de presse:
The coverage of the main theoretical terms and concepts makes the book an excellent aid for any teacher delivering the syllabus and is also an excellent self-teaching aid for any student. The language used is appropriate and the text is set out in a clear and user friendly manner. I firmly believe that all Advanced Level students and teachers would appreciate such a thorough core text on which they can rely. I doubt if there will be many teachers who will not adopt this text for their A Level groups. (EBEA Journal)
After years of coping with out-of-date texts that did not ensure full coverage of the A-level syllabus, this book has been received like a breath of fresh air by teaching staff and students. The text is very user-friendly. There is an excellent mix of theory and real-life case studies. Students say that they particularly like the 'In Business' examples, the key terms summary, and the focus on issues for analysis and evaluation. They also feel that it is easy to dip into the book, and that the way the topics are set out makes them accessible for those who are new to this subject. From the start of the teaching programme it gets students into the swing of thinking in an analytical and evaluative way about what they are reading and writing. The TEACHERS' GUIDE accompanying the text is also a 'must have'. (Business Review)
